UW is Finalist for Biofuel Grant. UW-Madison is on the short list for a major federal grant to study new strategies for generating biofuels.The U.S. Department of Energy is expected to invest $125 million over five years at each of two or possibly three new bioenergy research centers, starting as early as this year.
