Midwest Governor’s Association Energy Summit - November 14-15 Milwaukee
The Midwestern Governors Association announced today that it will hold a two-day meeting this fall to explore key energy strategies and policies for the region and its states. The MGA Energy Summit is the culmination of Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle’s 2007 chairman’s agenda. It will be held Nov.14 and 15 in Milwaukee.
The theme of the summit is Unveiling an Energy Security and Climate Stewardship Platform. At the summit participants will take a comprehensive look at state energy policy in the Midwest, and issues such as energy efficiency, renewable electricity, advanced coal and carbon capture, biofuels development and climate stewardship will be addressed. Wisconsin private sector on board for Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center

Milwaukee, Wis. - The private sector’s interest level in the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center is extremely high and includes a diversity of interests that are engaged in the project, according to the University of Wisconsin-Madison dean who helped write a successful grant proposal to fund the center.
